Logging On Help
When you have received notification that data is required for a survey you will have received the new password at the same time and a URL that provides a link to the StatsGate login page. Enter your user name and password into the spaces provided and press the Log On button, you should be taken to a page titled 'StatsGate - Send Data'.
If you try to login and a page comes up with a message that starts "This page cannot be displayed" then your browser may not be compatible with StatsGate's security features.

If an incorrect user name or password is entered the following message will appear:
The user name is set up as part of the registration process and will be printed on the agreement document. If you no longer have access to the document you can email Statistics New Zealand or contact the Statistics New Zealand helpdesk by phone. The issuing of a new user name may also require verification that the change is being sought by someone with the appropriate authorisation as per the original registration.
Passwords are supplied each time survey data is required and expire after the related survey has finished. The password will be supplied in an agreed format as per the original registration. If you do not have access to the current password you can email Statistics New Zealand or contact the Statistics New Zealand helpdesk by phone. The issuing of a new password may also require verification that the change is being sought by someone with the appropriate authorisation as per the original registration.
If you have forgotten your user name or password then Statistics New Zealand can be contacted by phone on 0800 809 464 during normal business hours (NZT). Telephone queries outside these hours will result in an automated reply and the opportunity to leave a recorded message.
Alternatively you can send an email to statsgate@stats.govt.nz outlining the problem you are experiencing. In any correspondence please include the agreement reference number to assist SNZ staff in dealing with your query.
